Networked World
August 13-16, 2009
Doubletree Hotel San Jose, California
Hosted by
California State University System
California Community Colleges
Is your institution currently under travel or budget restrictions? With the budget challenges currently facing institutions, MERLOT will select some proposals to be presented remotely and presenters can participate in parts of the conference at a reduced registration cost. We’re willing to work with you. Don’t let budget constraints prevent you from submitting a proposal!
Are you willing to share your experience and expertise?
The MIC09 Conference Committee is looking for proposals with a broad range of presentations from active learning tutorials to case studies. The Committee is seeking interactive and engaging proposals for presentations, pre-conference workshops, and educationally-relevant technology demonstrations. If your presentation is interesting and potentially useful to the MERLOT community, it will be considered for inclusion in the program.
The conference theme, Teaching and Learning in a Networked World, and the tracks below have been designed to stimulate rich discussions of faculty development as well as design, creation, utilization, and evaluation of online teaching and learning materials for the 21st Century.
Pre Conference Workshops
MERLOT provides a full pre-conference day of invited workshops and an educational service day for the host community. These interactive, hands-on workshops enhance professional development and provide value for your travel dollar. The conference committee is seeking ideas from the community on workshop topics and leaders. Please email pre-conference workshop suggestions to Jane Moore, Conference Chair, jmoore@nl.edu. Full and half-day workshops will be announced on the MERLOT conference website during the Spring 2009.
